Aether 0.10.152 / CP152 desktop release

Studio, Player, MCP and CAD have been rebuilt from Aether's CP143 native source baseline. These installers contain the rebuilt native programs and the updated shared editor/runtime. Each native program reports its version and source identity with --build-info.

The browser and desktop shared editor now run 41 native terrain graph node types through WebAssembly. Save connected recipes, parameters, heights and masks; use the saved terrain in Play and exported games. Hydraulic and thermal erosion, mask-driven materials, tiled LOD, instanced scatter and RAW interchange from 0.10.151 remain available.

Native browser graphs support up to 12 nodes and 256 cells. Higher-resolution native graph map exports resample the saved bake. That describes the original CP152 shared terrain port. Additional native workflows are now available through Native Studio and the native project tools above. Cross-target erosion builds can differ; saved bakes preserve an unchanged scene.

The shared MCP catalog contains 127 tools. Three hosted preview operations are unavailable through the local shared adapter. The native MCP catalog contains 109 tools.

Linux native identity and terrain/CAD tests, Windows executable identity and dependency checks, installer extraction checks, and browser software-WebGL tests are recorded. Windows execution, graphical installation and physical GPU verification remain pending.

From download to desktop.

Install on Windows
  1. Choose Download for Windows and sign in or register for a free account.
  2. Open Aether-Studio-Setup-0.10.152-x64.exe from Downloads.
  3. Follow the setup wizard, choose an installation folder and optionally add a desktop shortcut.
  4. Open Aether Studio from the Start Menu.

The beta installer is unsigned, so Windows may show a publisher warning. Windows runtime testing remains pending.

Install on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
  1. Choose Download for Ubuntu Linux and sign in or register.
  2. Open aether-studio_0.10.152-1_amd64.deb with your system’s package installer and choose Install.
  3. If your desktop has no graphical .deb installer, open a terminal in the Downloads folder and run sudo apt install ./aether-studio_0.10.152-1_amd64.deb.
  4. Open Aether Studio from the applications menu.

Package metadata and embedded application checksums passed. A fresh graphical installation, launch and physical-GPU testing remain pending.

Update or uninstall

Install a newer release using its installer. On Windows, remove Aether Studio through Installed apps or its Start Menu uninstaller. On Ubuntu, use your software manager or sudo apt remove aether-studio. Saved projects and per-user settings are retained. Automatic updates are not enabled in this beta.

Connect your AI to the public Aether MCP service

The browser now extends the CP152 shared runtime with native-browser-1; desktop installers remain 0.10.152. Create terrain and mesh models, author reusable 3D rules with native physics, spawning, sounds and imported skeletal clips, or supported 2D/3D gameplay and play your games, then export 2D HTML or a self-contained WebGL2 3D HTML game; ZIP remains available for hosting and experimental WebGPU. WebGL2 is available; WebGPU is experimental. Configured 3D rigid-body physics uses the native WASM solver. Browser export also offers a desktop build project, which requires a separate Node.js packaging step and is not an Aether desktop installer. See the game export guide and public MCP guide.

Reusable gameplay development

Shared-web 0.10.152 adds reusable AetherScript components, interactive UI widgets, animation state controllers, runtime diagnostics and assertions, export preflight and an opt-in browser preview connection for MCP. Open Development in the editor or read the development and agent workflow. The shared catalog contains 127 tools; the local adapter identifies the three hosted preview operations as unavailable locally. The new scripting system is bounded and general purpose; it is not C# or full native-engine parity.
